Reservation Information

Rental Requirements
All drivers must be a at least 25 years of age and present a valid drivers license in person.  The primary driver must also present a valid credit card (AMEX, VISA, MasterCard) in his or her name. 

**Note:  Check cards, debit cards or prepaid credit cards will NOT be accepted, even if equipped with VISA or MC logos.  

Car Rental Tax
Effective April 1, 2005, all car rental agencies operating in the U.S. Virgin Islands are required to collect a $2 per day tax from customers. This is due to a tax imposed by the Government of the United States Virgin Islands. This tax is not included in our rental rates and is added to the rental cost of each vehicle rented.

Deposits
A $100 deposit in the form of credit card is required to reserve a vehicle.

Confirmations
Confirmations are sent via email. 
Be sure to set your email to accept mail from info@conradcars.com, so you can receive responses to your reservation requests and inquiries.    Confirmations may be faxed or sent via U.S. Mail upon request.  Contact us if you do not receive your email or fax confirmation within 24 hours.  Review your confirmation carefully and contact us immediately if you have questions. 

Internet Reservations
Internet reservations at www.conradcars.com require credit card information. Remember to complete all fields on the form before clicking the Submit button. Click the Submit button only once to avoid duplicate orders. An order summary will appear on your screen once you click the Submit button on the Reservation Request Form. Print or save a copy of the order summary page for your records. Allow up to 24 hours to receive confirmation by email. You may also contact us at 1-340-776-6479 for assistance between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time, 7 days a week.  

Reserving Multiple Vehicles via the Internet
To reserve more than one vehicle for the same party via the Internet, select a vehicle at the top of the Reservation Request Form and complete the entire form. In the Notes section of the form, list the additional vehicles and any variations in the pickup or return dates.

Reservations by Fax
Complete the Reservation Request Form. Do NOT press the submit button. Print the form and fax it to 1-340-693-8099. Credit card information is required for processing. Indicate whether you prefer your confirmation to be sent via fax or email.

Reservations by Telephone
Reservations can be made by telephone for immediate assistance between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. AST. Confirmations are usually sent via email, but can also be sent by fax or U.S. mail upon requested.

Reservations by U.S. Mail
Complete the Reservation Request Form. Do not click the Submit button. Print the form and enclose along with your $100 check or money order. Mail to the Postal address below. Please allow at least 10 business days for confirmation of reservations submitted via regular mail. Confirmations may also be faxed upon request.

Payment Information
Full payment is due at the time of vehicle pickup. Accepted methods are cash, travelers checks, American Express, MasterCard and VISA only.  A credit card is required for security even if paying by cash or travelers checks. 

Note:  No check cards, debit cards or prepaid cards will not be accepted even if they have the VISA or MC logo.  A valid drivers license and credit card in the name of the primary driver must be presented at pickup. 

Reservation Length
A 5-day rental minimum is required for all reservations made in advance.  Walk-in customers are welcome and may rent a vehicle for one or more days.  

Cancellation Policy
A minimum three week notice prior to the pickup date is required for the cancellation of reservations. Failure to pickup reserved vehicles or give sufficient notice of cancellation may result in a charge equal to the full cost of the reservation period for each vehicle reserved.

Requests to cancel a reservation must be submitted in writing via email or fax and must be received at least three weeks prior to the pick up date. Acknowledgment of cancellation will be sent to customer when the request has been finalized. Third party cancellations are not accepted.

Changes to existing reservations are subject to availability and the terms of the cancellation policy. 

Directions
Our office is located 1- 1/2 blocks from the Cruz Bay Ferry Dock. From the Dock, turn right at First Bank (formerly Chase Manhattan). We are on the right between the Lime Inn and Fish Trap Restaurants.

Business Hours
Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time, 7 days a week.

Arrival Time
If you are uncertain about your expected arrival time, please indicate your St. Thomas arrival time (for example, 12:30 p.m. STT) or call us when you arrive in San Juan or St. Thomas so we can know what time to expect you.

Additional Drivers
Up to two (2) additional drivers, or a total of three (3) drivers can be authorized per vehicle.  All drivers must be at least 25 years of age and must present a valid drivers license in person in order to be listed as an authorized driver.    

Privacy and Security
Data you submit through our electronic Reservation Request Form is transmitted through the Internet using a secure protocol. Your personal information is stored on a secure server. When the Reservation Request Form is opened, a closed lock icon will appear at the bottom of your screen to indicate security. Conrad Sutton Car Rental does not sell or share personal customer information with third parties.  Customers are advised not to email us credit card information.
