Payment
A major credit card is required for all rentals. We accept American Express, VISA and Mastercard. Debit cards, check, cash and traveler’s checks are NOT accepted, even if marked with the Amex, VISA, or MC logo.
The credit card presented for your rental must match the name and driver’s license of the primary driver.
Insurance and the Limited Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
A $1,500 deductible applies to rentals. Customers assume responsibility for all damages not covered by insurance. Charges for damages are charged directly to the customer’s account. We cooperate with insurance agencies by providing necessary documentation and information required for your insurance claim.
Customers are urged to obtain additional insurance coverage. Some common avenues are via an existing auto or personal liability insurance, credit card company, or travel insurance policy that covers rental car coverage in the US Virgin Islands.
Proof of insurance is required. Acceptable proof of insurance may be in the form of a letter from the Customer’s insurance agent on company letterhead or the declaration page or other pertinent pages from the insurance policy. Customers are responsible for obtaining verification of coverage from their insurance carrier.
The following are important points to consider regarding insurance coverage:
- Type and limits of coverage.
- Who is covered? Are additional drivers covered? If so, do the additional drivers have to be a spouse or other family member?
- Does your coverage extend to the U.S. Virgin Islands?
- Does my insurance cover rental SUVs?
- Is there a limit on the length of the rental? For example, will my policy cover me if I rent a car for longer than two weeks?
- Does my policy require that I decline any other coverage offered by the car rental agency, or will my policy pick up any excess not covered by the carrental’s policy, such as the deductible?
